Carl is responsible for delivering several innovative proof of concept projects with re/insurers regarding highly detailed exposure information and its potential use for underwriting and exposure/risk management.
He has over 15 years of market experience in the catastrophe modelling sector, spanning seven years at Aon Benfield and eight years with the Tokio Marine group, six years of which were with Tokio Marine Kiln.
At Kiln, he was responsible for the management of both model evaluation and reinsurance modelling. His remit covered all catastrophe research and vendor model validation documentation and reporting. Prior to this, his role was Exposure Management Developer, building business intelligence reporting and deep model analytics.
He was a leading proponent of market initiatives including the Oasis project, and is familiar with multi-vendor models including RMS, AIR, ARA, EQE, Aon’s Impact Forecasting suite, Katrisk, Combus etc.
